Updating Service Packs and Patches for Microsoft Dynamics GP

Quick steps for updating service packs and patches for all the computers including server as follows:

1. Make a backup of dynamics including all companies databases.
2. Before start update, also make a copy of GP Folder as "Copy of GP" in already installed location i.e. "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP"
3. Install Service Packs and Patches and run Dynamics Utilities, this will update all the databases.
4. After this take a copy of "GP" folder from "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP" and paste it on share folder on network.
5. Now copy this folder to all the client computers in the same location, where GP already installed, usually "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\" folder. But before copying, please rename the existed folder GP to GP1 or GP-OLD, don't replace this folder.

NOTE: If you have done multiple customization as per clients including Server, like forms or reports customization then you should export all the customizations from all the clients including server and save as per their names in any safe place.

Don't forget to import Customization package in GP after doing step-5, run GP and import the respective package.
