Got Greenbar Search Windows? in Microsoft Dynamics GP

Resetting security and some updates or upgrades have caused old style search windows to be displayed instead of the normal windows. These windows show the classic greenbar pattern and don't contain some of the newer search options.  Follow these steps to fix this and restore the expected window format:

1. Open Advanced Security
2. In Options, make sure that “Grant Security - All alternate windows and reports” is checked
3. Change the view in the left pane to "by Alternate, Modified, and Custom”
4. Select the users in the Users Pane that need to be fixed
5. Un-check SmartList in the left pane
6. Recheck SmartList
7. Apply Changes
