What Happens When the User Date Is Changed in Microsoft Dynamics GP

The User Date (the date displayed on the Dynamics GP window) is taken from the workstation date when the application is first started. Users can change that date. The User Date is the default date for most transactions.
Changing the User Date makes it easier for a batch of transactions to be entered with a specific date.

For example, if the AP clerk was out sick for a couple of days and has a batch of documents that needs to be entered but dated one or two days ago, the AP clerk could manually change the date during the entry of each document.  By changing the User Date, however, the document date will default to the modified User Date.  Just make sure to change it back!
